Model bride

Brides, Beauty and Photographs

As a photographer I am privileged to interpret the world through the lens of a camera and share my vision with others. During most weddings I am typically occupied with making photographs that share the memories and moments of the big day; All the stuff of great photojournalism. However, photojournalism is not the only way to tell a story, and has it's limits as a documentary process. Photojournalism is about making storytelling photographs of epic moments in people's lives, documenting events and reactions to those events as they unfold. I wanted to make wedding photographs that are more intentional then documentary photography, speaking to the elegance and grandeur a bride experiences on her wedding day.To do this we chose to photograph a model with the most elegent of flowers, dress, and styling specifically chosen to create a mood and atmosphere. After the initial concept was planned, I put together a completely new crew to work with on this shoot. I think that we made more then a few iconographic wedding photos, and it only could have happened because of the help of these people. More past the Break.
